Showception

Showception is a documentary of a documentary of a movie of a trashy reality show. From the creatives minds behind Tenured (Chriss Modoono and Gil Zabarsky), Showception is a satire that breaks the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh walls. Actors/characters Candle, Suede, and Peaches, are revealed to all be false characters portrayed by empty-headed Juilliard rejects.  Their film crew are in turn actors in a “very serious production” drama directed by Marisol Corrada- who is in turn the subject of a secret documentary from the studio.  The cast, cast portraying crew, and crew start to lose their hold on reality as the struggle to meet compound deadlines. Studio producer Lainey Stampos can handle any problem except her addiction to hitting on straight actresses. Cameraman Guy Smallvalley is the unwitting subject of a romantic plot line. Poor actress April Maye doing her best to portray the director under direction of two arguing directors. And studio Exec Lara Walling; the mastermind losing control failing to manage four crews at once. Together the rag-tag ensemble muddle through production, wreak havoc on each other’s sanity, and try to bring life to a drowned man, all while ‘getting the shot’.
